R and D for Celluloid pens

....I haven't posted anything for ages so I thought I'd better remedy the situation.
I've been busy of late with the design and development of the "Celluloid" pens. The material itself is great to work with.Very forgiving and able to hold thin wall sections easily.
I have had to vary the design of the pens around the different diameter rods, as some of the smaller diameter rods can't take the 12mm standard thread that I'm using.Which leads to lots of head scratching and cussing.
I'm hoping to get a large quantity of pens completed for the London pen show, and all the other shows leading up to Christmas.

Worcester pen company will be at Castle Ashby Northamptonshire this weekend 26th and 27th.
I know it is a bit short notice for all you Worcester pen fans but hey you how well organised i am (not!!!!) The weather forecast is good and the organisers are the two Anns from Pennine Fairs who are probably some of the best organisers in the fair business.
We had a good show at the Midland pen show last Sunday, and it was good to meet up with all the usual crowd and some old faces from the pen world that I had not seen for a year or two.Attendance was up from last year and it's steadily growing into a nice little pen show.

Celluloid Pens

Have been experimenting with old stock Celluloid. Bronze fleck and a Green fleck in the intention of making fountain pens out of the material.
I've already made some pencils and ballpens from Blue, Rose, and Black and Silver celluloid and the effect is very pleasing.Hopefully I'll be able to take one or two samples to the Midland pen show with me to see if they make any impression on the pen collectors.

The Worcester Pen Company sales team will be at this years forth coming Midland pen show at Lichfield guild hall on June 20th.
This will be the third year we have done the Midland pen show and we will be looking forward to seeing customers old and new, and just enjoying what is really a social day out for people who take a great interst in pens.
I'm busy making pen stocks to take with me and also trying to get the new pen models e.g Nimrod and Sentinel NB up and running.Plus I'm trying to get the pen orders out of the door makes the Worcester Pen Company very busy at this moment in time.
I Haven't posted for ages so here goes.....
Development of the new pens is going well with just one or two minor problems.
The Celluloid pens will look some thing special when they are finished.

Update

It's been some time since I posted, sooo here a few words to update what the Worcester Pen Company has been up too.We had a good week-end at Coventry Transport Museum with a very busy Saturday, even though the weather was awful.
Sunday was a little more slow but we sold more fountain pens on the Sunday compared to Saturday. A lot of folks were looking at the pens and taking business cards which I hope will lead to follow on orders.
Craft fairs always amaze me as I wasn't expecting too much from the pen buying public in Coventry, but fair play to the good people of Coventry,it seems they are very keen pen users. The fair was very well organised and we'll return to this show, as we had two good days and it's not too far for the Worcester Pen Company "road show" to travel.

Saturday 21st November saw us at the Hanger One craft show at Sywell aerodrome. We were invited to attend this show by the organisers and I'm glad we went. We had our best show of the year in terms of trading (apart from specialist pen shows). The show was all hand-made items and just the right balance of stalls for the customers. The organisation of the fair was very good. It was two very busy days for the Worcester Pen Company, and we nearly ran out of stock on the Sunday.I have been busy for the past few days making more pens to replenish what has been sold....
I've posted a picture of the stand before the show opened on the Saturday morning.See if you can spot my cup of coffee!!!!

On a parting note, I had a fruitful meeting with another retailer who may be stocking pens made by the Worcester Pen Company.I will keep you informed with this news, so stay tuned.

The following weekend 21st & 22nd November 2009, Worcester Pen Company is at the November fair at Hangar One Sywell, Northamptonshire NN6 0BN.This is a very popular fair with a large variety of stalls selling hand-crafted items. We are very excited with the prospect of taking part in this fair as we were specially invited by the fair organisers (Pennine Fairs)

Sunday December 6th 2009 we return to the Reebok stadium, home of the mighty Bolton Wanderers football club.Judging by our past experaince it will be a large and very busy fair for Christmas. We always enjoy our visits to the Reebok because of the great atmosphere at the fairs.
